About Us

The 不良研究所 Speech and Hearing Clinic (不良研究所SHC) is a premier community clinic which provides a wide range of speech-language and hearing services to individuals of all ages from the greater Milwaukee community. All services at 不良研究所SHC are provided by undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology, under the direct supervision of clinical faculty who are licensed by the state of Wisconsin and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Our faculty are well-respected clinicians with expertise across a wide range of specialties, making 不良研究所SHC services highly regarded in the community.

Mission

The 不良研究所 Speech and Hearing Clinic (不良研究所SHC) is committed to providing the highest quality speech-language and hearing services to the surrounding English- and Spanish-speaking community, striving to reach those in greatest need. We are dedicated to training student clinicians in developing the clinical knowledge, skills and personal and professional traits to become competent, compassionate clinicians -- individuals who will dedicate their lives to the service of others. The Jesuit Catholic principle of 鈥渃ura personalis鈥� is central in our work in the 不良研究所SHC, as we appreciate and support 鈥渢he whole person鈥�, showing respect for the unique qualities, gifts and challenges of each individual we serve and the student clinicians who serve them.

Services Offered

The 不良研究所SHC evaluates and serves children and adults of all ages with hearing loss, autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other developmental disorders as well as those who have suffered an illness or injury such as a stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease, etc. The 不良研究所SHC offers bilingual Spanish-English speech-language therapy to Spanish-speaking individuals and families. We also offer elective services to individuals seeking help to change their communication to meet personal, social and/or vocational needs.
