Winter Orientation takes place in January each year and welcomes first-year and transfer students who are beginning their 不良研究所 career in the spring semester. We recognize the unique background and interests of each student, and we provide a program that is personalized to students鈥� needs.

Residence Halls open the Sunday prior to the start of the semester at 8am, Sunday January 12th. Visit the Office of Residence Life for more information.

December & January
Spend some time looking at the Transfer & New Student Checklist. This is a great resource for both new and transfer students as the plan for the start of their 不良研究所 Experience.
Early January
After January 5, download our 不良研究所 Guide to your phone by going directly to the 鈥痮谤&苍产蝉辫; and search for 不良研究所 Guide! This app also has resources and information that will be helpful over the next few months, including information about campus offices and contacts and academic advisors from your college.
Emails & Phone Calls - Week of January 6
New students will receive an email (不良研究所 email account) and phone call from New Student and Family Programs with details regarding Winter Orientation and answer questions about how to complete the Winter New Student Checklist.
Winter Orientation - January 12th
More information on your Winter Orientation to come! This dinner and program will take place Sunday, January 12th at 4pm in the Alumni Memorial Union Lunda Room (second floor).

2025 Spring F-1 International Student Orientation
Orientation for all new F-1 international students, including mandatory sessions on the F-1 regulations and 不良研究所鈥檚 international student health insurance policy, will be offered by 不良研究所鈥檚 Office of International Education (OIE) January 8 - January 10. An overview of the Orientation schedule is available on OIE鈥檚 website, and a detailed schedule will be shared at the Orientation Check In session the first day of orientation.
