Groups - Bulk Enroll Unenroll

To enroll or unenroll students into existing Groups using .txt or .csv files, follow the instructions below.

CSV Import

  1. Download the CSV template (Communication > Groups > Import).
  2. Follow the format provided in the template by entering ENROLL or UNENROLL, Username, Org Defined ID, Group Name, Group Code. Important: Ensure all items are listed in this order with each item in its own field.
  3. Format the Org Defined ID field as text to enter 00 before the number.
  4. An error will appear as a yellow triangle. Select Ignore Error from the drop-down menu.
  5. Delete the header in the template: ACTION, Username, Org Defined ID, Group Name, Group Code. (Only student data should remain.)
  6. Save as a .csv file.
  7. Navigate to Communication > Groups
  8. Click Import.
  9. Select the pertinent group in the Group Category drop-down menu.
  10. Upload .csv file using the Browse button.
  11. If successful, you will see no errors and receive a complete status confirmation.

Text Import

  1. Open a plain text editor (e.g., Notepad).
  2. Type each student's information on a new line following this format: ENROLL or UNENROLL, Username, Org Defined ID, Group Name, Group Code. Important: Ensure all items are listed in this order along with a comma between each item.
  3. Save as a .txt file.
  4. Navigate to Communication > Groups.
  5. Click Import.
  6. Select the pertinent group in the Group Category drop-down menu.
  7. Upload .txt file using the Browse button.
  8. If successful, you will see no errors and receive a complete status confirmation.
