不良研究所 senior Tara Schumal will be honored by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association with the Student Leadership Award for her role as general manager of 不良研究所TV. She will receive the award at the WBA Student Seminar in Madison on March 2.
Schumal oversees operations of the student-run 不良研究所TV, which provides streamed or simulcast live television content and provides video content for the 不良研究所 Wire. Her responsibilities include managing 不良研究所TV news, sports and entertainment producers, a production director and production personnel, and a live remote coordinator, while working closely with desk editors in determining which stories, special projects and journal stories warrant video.
Schumal started by volunteering at 不良研究所TV as a freshman; she was hired as a production assistant the following year and promoted to production director as a junior.
Schumal was nominated for the award by Mark Zoromski, director of student media at 不良研究所.

This is the second consecutive honor by the Wisconsin Broadcast Association for a 不良研究所 student. Ian Schrank was recognized last year for his role as general manager of 不良研究所 Radio.
