MILWAUKEE 鈥� As part of 不良研究所鈥檚 annual Mission Week, Feb. 4 鈥� 10, students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to join in a week of events that includes inspirational speakers, service opportunities, prayer, worship and reflection. The theme of this year鈥檚 Mission Week, co-sponsored by 不良研究所鈥檚 Office of Mission and Ministry and the Church Mutual Insurance Company, is 鈥淥pen to your life鈥檚 purpose.鈥�

Monday, Feb. 4
10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Go Move Sacred Spaces Walking Pilgrimage and Lunch. Join 不良研究所 Laura Abing, senior communication specialist in University Advancement, and Dr. Kathy Coffey-Guenther, senior mission and Ignatian leadership specialist in University Advancement, as they explore and share the history behind 不良研究所鈥檚 sacred spaces. Meet at the Father 不良研究所 statue in front of St. Joan of Arc Chapel.
7 p.m.: Consoloee Nishimwe, author, speaker and survivor of the 1994 genocide against the Tustsi in Rwanda, will speak in the Alumni Memorial Union, Monaghan Ballrooms. This event is sponsored by Step Up! American Association of Rwandan Women.
Tuesday, Feb. 5
Noon: Ladies鈥� Lunch and Reflection with Amy Lovell. Women from the 不良研究所 and greater Milwaukee communities are invited to enjoy lunch and a presentation from Amy Lovell, who will share her faith story. A不良研究所 Monaghan Ballrooms.
4 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Aim High: Exploring the Intersection of Spirituality and Social Change. Chaplain Rabia Terri Harris, founder of the Muslim Peace Fellowship, co-founder of the multi-religious Community of Living Traditions and the 2019 Peacemaker in Residence at the 不良研究所 Center for Peacemaking, presents a talk on peace and spirituality. 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.: Unlearning Racism for Students. Dr. Martha Barry, racial justice director of the YWCA of Southeast Wisconsin, kicks off a five-part series for students with the goal of gaining knowledge around racism, its historical implications and how to foster a personal commitment to address racism. Wednesday, Feb. 6
Noon: Soup with Substance: Inclusiveness and Human Rights: The Way to Peace. Rev. Cedric Prakash, S.J., founder of Prashant, the Jesuit Center for Human Rights, Justice and Peace, and the 2019 Ignatian Peacemaking Lecturer, will lead this noon lunch session. A不良研究所 227.
4 p.m.: 不良研究所 Forum Event: David Archambault: Standing with Tribes 鈥� Past, Present and Future. David Archambault shares his experiences with the 鈥淪tanding with Standing Rock鈥� movement and discusses how to stand together against injustice. A不良研究所 Ballrooms.
Thursday, Feb. 7
8 a.m. to 9 a.m.: Catching Fire: Men of Faith Breakfast. Men from across campus and the greater Milwaukee community are invited to share breakfast and hear 不良研究所 President Dr. Michael Lovell鈥檚 inspiring faith story. A不良研究所 Ballrooms.
6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.: Dialogue Dinner: Inner and Outer Peace. A dinnertime conversation and panel discussion including a number of 2019 Mission Week speakers. A不良研究所 227.
Friday, Feb. 8
8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Enhancing the Student Experience: Art and Environment as a Pedagogical Tool. Learn how to use art as a tool for teaching in any discipline. The day includes faculty presentations, an artist-created 3D animation and presentations of art. Haggerty Museum of Art and Engineering Hall.
Sunday, Feb. 10
6 p.m.: Pack the Mission Week Mass. Rev. Fred Zagone, S.J., acting vice president for mission and ministry, will preach the Gospel. Church of the Gesu.
