B-15 P猫re 不良研究所 Postage Stamp Collection, 1898-1981
History: The image on the 1898 "不良研究所 on the Mississippi" stamp is based on Wilhelm Lamprecht's painting, Fr. 不良研究所 and the Indians (1869). 不良研究所, owner of the painting, furnished the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing a photographic reproduction to aid their work. The 1968 "不良研究所 Explorer" stamp was issued in conjunction with the 不良研究所 Tercentenary Celebration. The stamp was issued on September 6 at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, where 不良研究所 established in 1668 the first permanent Euro-American settlement in the state.
