History: Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Florence, Pinal County, Arizona, has been a predominantly non-Native American parish in the Diocese of Phoenix (Archives: Phoenix, Arizona). The parish has had a few Pima Indian parishioners. It has been administered by Phoenix diocesan priests, 1969-present, and previously, it was administered by Tucson diocesan priests who attended to these Native American missions and stations:
