Dear Lord,

We bless and thank you for all those people who, by their zeal for teamwork, work tirelessly to organize and encourage those around them to work together in whatever the immediate project might be for the good of all. And we ask the same grace for the rest of us who too often wait for others to take the initiative even when we know that, unless we do, your good inspirations will go unheeded, leaving unfulfilled what would otherwise be true human growth for the well-being of the communities we belong to.

For togetherness, after all, is why you came on this earth and spent your life doing good, calling us all into one body in you, each sharing unique talents to build up the whole body of Christ, as St. Paul teaches us, the kingdom of love and shared life that is yours with the Father and the Holy Spirit from before time began and will be into the future forever without end. Lord, hear us, we pray, and grant us this most noble and necessary gift.
