Each day is a new opportunity to thank the Lord for the many blessings we have received. Today, as we meet, we also have the opportunity to thank God for the many graces he has shed on our organization.

We thank God for the success of the past year. We look at the challenges we faced. We celebrate the many things that went right. Hopefully, we will learn from our mistakes.

We thank God for the new people who have joined our ranks. Their energy and enthusiasm prompt all of us to do a better job and reach for new heights. We pray for those who have left us that they might find happiness and success in their endeavors.

We pray for our organization, our constituents and those we serve. We thank God for our leadership. Bless their work that we might truly step up to the next level. That all we do be done for the greater glory of God.

We pray that this next year may be filled with grace and hope. May our efforts be rewarded in the name of all we serve. Grant us peace and harmony to work together in a spirit of cooperation, respect and understanding.

We pray, as always, for the many people who have asked for our prayers. Those who are sick, those who have died, and those who mourn the dead.

And we pray all of these things through Christ our Lord.
