Triune God,
In your great love and mercy for us,
you cast your gaze upon us and enter into our lives.
Father of mercy, you accompanied your people in their wanderings;
Incarnate Son, you walked with the sick, the suffering, the dispossessed;
Spirit of love, you poured yourself upon us as flames of love.
Continue to be with your people, we pray,
accompanying them as they recover and rebuild
from the destruction of storms, hurricanes, and other extreme weather.
Aid them in their rebuilding;
comfort them in their sorrows;
renew them in the new life that comes from the paschal mystery.
And may we, too, accompany them with you,
who are our God, living and true.
