Loving God, you have blessed my life with a buffet of possibilities. I find some of the choices come easily like choosing a healthy salad dressing at a buffet. Some of the choices are more difficult like choosing the main entr茅e when the offerings are favorites. And other choices are very difficult like not partaking of the buffet because I have a big dinner to attend in a few hours.

Loving God, I need your help whether the choices are insignificant or life-changing. Help me to choose the best color for me when I choose a new winter coat. Give me your wisdom to make the best choice for our family when I need to apply for a second mortgage for an addition to our home for our growing family. And Lord, grant me the gift of discernment about whether to interview for a position as vice-president of our company.

Loving God, thank you for giving me the gift of common sense to use in making some choices. Thank you for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, given at baptism and confirmation, that you gave me: wisdom, understanding, and counsel to use for more significant decisions. And thank you for the gift of discernment that you offer me to use for major life decisions: prayer, seeking advice from others, and plunging into my deepest desires where I us as a 鈥渨e鈥� deciding together.

Loving God, help me always to make good decisions for your greater honor and glory.
