Loving God,

You sent your Son Jesus to walk with us through all of life鈥檚 trials, and to redeem us from fear, sin and death. Jesus calmed the sea of Galilee when His followers were frightened; grant us peace of mind to face the storms we face today.

Send us your Spirit as you did at Pentecost, to encourage us when we feel lost, confused, and discouraged. Grant us wisdom to discern what is just, true, and good, and the courage to pursue it.

We pray this in your holy name.
